Safety Net is a charity which helps children and young people feel safe and confident

Young people like you, tell us they worry about things like bullying, friendships, feeling safe at home, and more. We help you by listening to these worries and finding ways together, to manage them. We can share ideas about what you can do to feel better and braver.

Little Acts Of Kindness

Our young volunteers came up with the idea of Little Acts of Kindness to help others in their communities. We post their ideas on Instagram to encourage others to take part too.

Playground Buddies

Are children who are trained to help other children at school playtimes, to make playtimes safer by sorting out problems, teaching new games and making sure children are not lonely.

SNAP

Learn how to stand up to yourself , have better friendships and feel less anxious. Chat about your worries and get help coping with them, using games and activities.

BRAVE

BRAVE

Learn how to understand and manage your emotions. Talk about your worries and get help coping with them, using activities, conversations and games.

Activities Project

If you have completed SNAP or BRAVE with us then you can also join our activities project, where children get to practice the skills they have learned to build confidence and try some new fun things and meet other children.

Young Volunteers

Our young volunteers help us and others in a number of ways; by writing our E-Zine for young people, by letting us know what projects they would like us to work on, asking young people what activities they would like to do and supporting other children.

We really want to know what you think. What worries you? What are the things that can help? We regularly ask children to tell us about things that are important to them through class consultations and online surveys.

How are you feeling?

What's New

We are always working on new projects. At the moment we are working on activities that can be done at home to help keep you calm. Here is our latest video made by some of our young volunteers showing ways to calm down using smellydough – playdough that smells nice!
